The blend method of electrolysis uses the delivery of a fine probe into the hair follicle.
Once in place, two electrical currents are delivered through the probe until sufficient destruction of the follicle has occurred and therefore, hair has been released from its attachments in the follicle.
At this stage the electrologist simply slides the hair from the follicle. The first current is Thermolysis which uses a build-up of heat to cause destruction to the tissue in the follicle.
The second is Galvanic, this current causes a chemical reaction to occur using the salt and moisture in the tissues within your skin.
Our Clairblend devices cause a reaction that is highly destructive to the follicle. Both currents are used simultaneously to create a greater amount of destruction at the one time. This modality is called The Blend Technique.
For this treatment, we charge in blocks of time & add buffer time so there is room to stop & restart the timer if interruptions occur
Clients can -in most cases- expect individual hairs to be removed in under 10 seconds, with each follicle needing to be treated approximately 10 times. *This is not a quote, this is only a guide to help prospective clients understand the basics- There is a more detailed explanation on our FAQs page that must be read before filling out the contact form
There are rarely any permanent side effects of electrolysis only some temporary reactions such as pigmentation, redness, scabbing and occasionally blistering is possible on individual follicles

The Multi-Probe Galvanic method of electrolysis functions using only the galvanic current, which creates lye using the salts & moisture in your skin
Our Gemm16 device works by treating each follicle for 5 minutes, in an aim to only treat each follicle once. To speed up the process, we insert 16 probes into 16 different follicles- This process can take up to 10 minutes from insertion of the first probe to removal of the last hair. We charge by rows of 16 & over estimate the time that it will take to do each treatment, in case of interruptions. *We do not offer guarantees to the efficiency of the 'One treatment per follicle' claim as we are new to using this system & want to see YEARS of proof before offering guarantees
